I feel sad that I was never able to tell you about your brother before you and I were separated. Do you remember you sister? (Half sister technically but let us not dwell on that). She was only small the last time you and I saw each other.

We were expecting a little boy and I never told you about it. I kept meaning to but I thought I had so much time left. I did not know we were to be parted so suddenly.

Life can be so unexpected and change can happen faster than you might ever expect. Never delay telling good news even for a moment. If you have a joy to share or a love to confess say so as soon as you can because regret is hard to live with.

Your brothers name is Matthew. He is like you in a lot of ways I think you might get on very well. You both seem to love the same things... that is if you still enjoy cars, bob the builder, jets and anything that has wheels.

You have another brother. His name is David. He is not yet a year old but I think you might like him too. I do very much hope you will get to meet each other.

I wish you could know all your family. Make the most of the family you have got around you and be sure to soak up ever moment before they escape you.

Forgive me if I go on too long it's just that I miss you.

I do not come to this site very often and for that I hope you can forgive me. You see each time I see a picture of you there is a part of me that feels broken. A part of me deep inside where no-one can ever see that feels like it has been damaged in some terrible and nasty way.

The part that hurts you see is my heart and it is with my heart that I love you. It is with my whole heart that I long to call your name, to see you smile at me and to hold you in my arms. The same heart that breaks because I do not know where you are.

Some tiny part of me hopes that one day we will find each other. On that day all the pain I have ever felt will have been a worthy price to pay to see you again. I do so hope that it is in this life that I see you next.

Advice as you grow

Dear Jono,

It is hard to know how to write this for you. I remember you only as I last saw you aged just four years old but I have no doubt that you will have changed in the time that has passed.

When you read this will you be only a little older or will you be a grown man?

I have no idea.

If I write to you as if to too young a child or as if to too old a man please forgive a broken hearted dad.

The hardest lesson of my life, son, is that life is not fair. It probably has never been fair and will never be fair. Sometimes we get what we do not deserve and sometimes we do not get what we deserve.

Sometimes we deserve for bad to happen and yet we get good. Sometimes we are deserving of payment and get nothing. On the whole for every disappointment there will be many moments when we did not get what we had earned and much to our relief.

This doesn't mean life is without meaning. Nor without return.

When we do something it is like planting a carrot top, like we did shortly before we were separated. You never saw the carrot top grow to the best part of a meter in length. I kept that old dead plant for a long time just in case I could show it to you. Sadly it was broken when I moved to a new home recently.

Life is like this. We do good things and bad and it is like planting a small seed (or carrot top). These things grow.

Sometimes we get to see and experience the harvest in this life. Sometimes others get to experience it.

When it is something good that we planted every one is the happier of the thing that grows from it but when we plant the bad you may be fortunate and the plant will dry and be crushed before it gets to you but it could easily come back to you as a much bigger bad than you planted.

In this life, son, try to grow a good garden.

Your birthdays have not been forgotten. Nanny has opened a bank account where we have been putting the money we would have spent on your presents so that whenever we see you again what you are given will still be of interest to you.

There are presents, toys and other keep sakes waiting. On top of the cupboard is a package wrapped in Whinny the Poo paper that will stay wrapped until such time as you are able to open it.

You favourate teddy, your remote control car and your mini skateboard all await your return protected from the attention of your siblings (brothers and sisters).

It is not the same as seeing you though.

{{padded|One day the bottom fell out of my world and my family was taken from me. Then it happened again and my son and I were removed from each others lives.

I have no idea where he is other than it is the UK somewhere.

This website is my last hope for reaching my son. I am seeding the internet as best I know how with links and messages for my boy (Jono) in the hope that as he grows older he will find at least one and know that daddy loves him.

Maybe he will not care, perhaps he has been taught to hate me - who knows. But if I do not do everything in my power to reach out to him then little jono will become big jono thinking daddy didn't care.

If you are reading this page and are not Jono please help me find my son - help me get the message out there.

This will help raise awareness of the existence of this site and thereby help a little boy and his daddy. Maybe it will start something and help lot's of little children and thier daddys... Upload photo's or a link if you made the flier on a computer.
